Noncoherent FSK Optimum Receiver over Impulsive Noise Channels

By the spread of Internet, home networking attracts the attention of many people. The power line communication (PLC) system is one of the most attractive candidates for home networking. However, there are some technical problems to realize PLC system with high rate and high reliability. The impulsive noise is one of these problems. In this paper, we discuss about the impulsive noise and propose a noncoherent FSK receiver suitable for the impulsive noise environment.
