摘要

Microwave sintering with integrated high pressure plasma processing enables a significant increase of process variability. In the case of cemented carbide tool bits mono-layer coated as well as compositionally and functionally graded materials can be obtained by integrated microwave plasma-microwave sintering processing, with improved quality of the products. Besides known TiN-based coatings, synthesis of new multi-layered or graded structures that can not be achieved in conventional processing has been achieved.
