The PANI/V_2O_5 hybrid with V_2O_5 solid materials by in situ intercalation polymerization was successfully synthesized. The structure and morphology of the PANI/V_2O_5 nanocomposites were investigated by physicochemical characterization techniques such as XRD, FT-IR spectroscopy, thermal analysis, scanning electron microscopy. The results suggested that PANI/V_2O_5 hybrid as synthesized had lamellar mesostructured. The polymer chain appeared fixed in the intralamellar space, resulting in the expansion of V_2O_5 interlayer. FT-IR indicated that considerable bonding interaction between the organic and the inorganic components existed due to NH......O-V hydrogen bonding. The hybrid also had a good stability at N_2 ambience.
