(1)The kinds of the alloy phases in the as-prepared nanometer powders were controlled by the partial pressure of the constituent metals in the mixed vapor. (2)In the Al-Cu alloy nanometer powders, θ-CuAl_2, γ2-Al_4Cu_9 and β-AlCu_3 alloy phases occurred. The solid solubility of Cu atoms in the lattice of α-Al phase was higher than that in the Al-Cu alloy equilibrium diagram. Al_(13)Fe_4 and FeAl_2 phases formed in the Al-Fe nanometer powders. For Al-Mn and Al-Cr alloy nanometer powders, β-MnAl_6, η_2-Al_8Mn_5 phases and Al_(13)Cr_2, Cr_9Al_(17) phases formed respectively. (3)The structure and the morphology of the alloy nanometer particles were different from those of the elemental metal particles.
