Rock fall phenomena. Path analysis and defence system definition

摘要

People safety suffers for fast landslide movement as rockfall events when civil structures and infrastructures are exposed to rock block impact danger. Italian territory is strongly urbanized in mountainous areas and, therefore, rokfall risks represents a serious danger for this areas. However, the availability of communication road crossing mountainous passes is essential for the country economy. Rockfall defence systems represents the more appropriate solution for the safety of the road traffic; the studies for the design of rockfall protection system along the state road of Passo Futa, in the high portion of the Florence province Apennines, close to the town of Montebeni is the subject of this paper.
