摘要

This study aims to develop and optimize models of Reinforced Concrete (RC) beams and slabs strengthened by Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP). The tool selected for numerical analysis is the Finite Element tool (FEM) performed by means of a commercial code (ANSYS). The developed models integrate both the specific non-linear behavior of concrete, the multi-layer form of FRP, and quadratic failure aspects of the FRP. We develop and combine three models of composite and two models of concrete (homogenized concrete and concrete with specific modeling of steel reinforcements). A comparative analysis of experimental and numerical results leads us to choose and validate the two best-adapted models for retrofitting design.
