Fibre Reinforced Polymers (FRPs) with their excellent mechanical properties have been utilised in a variety of industries in the past decades. The use of FRP in the construction industry particularly for strengthening of reinforced concrete structures is one application, which has received a great deal of attention in recent years. Explanation of the behaviour of the composite product of FRP and reinforcement concrete, however, with respect to the different behaviour of concrete, steel, and FRP, is complicated. Besides experimental and theoretical attempts, numerical studies have been employed in order to a-chieve a better understanding of the problem. This paper is one such attempt and presents a numerical study performed by the authors on FRP strengthened reinforced concrete beams under torsion. Numerical results are compared against experiments. The conditions of rebars and stirrups in beams throughout loading are also discussed.
