摘要

A mathematical model has been developed and solved on heat recovery in ventilation coupled with indirect evaporation cooling (IEC). The performance of the system is simulated with and without evaporative cooling. The effects of several parameters such as the inlet temperature and the relative humidity of the secondary air stream are investigated. It is shown that a higher inlet temperature of the primary air stream, a lower inlet temperature of the secondary air stream and a lower inlet relative humidity of the secondary air stream lead to a higher effectiveness of the indirect evaporative air cooler. The investigation reveals that the precooling of the air is enhanced with evaporative cooling and results in lower cooling operation and initial equipment costs and a saving in peak demand charges.
