The numerous gold deposits in fold rim of the South Siberian Craton (East Sayan, Sayan-Baikal fold belt and Transbaikal) formed under various conditions for a long time. However, the lack of reliable geochronological data on ores and hydrothermally altered rocks makes it difficult to determine main stages of gold mineralization in the Central Asian fold belt. The age determinations of the deposits are more often based on the associations with the intrusions of known age. At the same time, exact knowledge of the time interval in formation of the mineralization will allow not only to restore the geodynamic setting and genesis of the deposits, but predict new objects more exactly.
