Stabilisation of 'Abandoned Tailing Dam' for Environmental Protection at Zawar Mines

Tailing disposal and storage management system is one of the problematic area in mining industry. There are many environmental hazards of tailing dam. Post closure phase and stabilisation of abandoned tailing dam is essential in view of safety, long term risk and abatement of environmental pollution. Rehabilitation of the area for after use is also important. Providing plantation coverage is the most cost effective and Eco-friendly way for environmental protection and stabilisation of abandoned tailing dam as successfully executed at Zawar Mines. This project is a landmark in the Indian Mining industry.
