摘要

The catalytic activity of co-sputter deposited Pt_(l-x)Ru_x alloys for methanol oxidation has been investigated. Surface and bulk properties of the thin films have been characterized. X-Ray Diffractometry revealed a change in lattice parameter and long range ordering with composition variation. Half-cell data were modeled by a simple mass-transfer corrected Tafel equation. Limiting currents increased linearly with Pt composition, while Tafel slopes attained a minimum at ~50% Ru.
