摘要

DSP (digital signal processor) is adopted in controlling systems in a digital inverter TIG (Tungsten Insert Gas) welding power sources. TMS320F240 series DSP offers 12 PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) output channels, two of which are programmed as outputs to drive the first inverter of IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) and the second inverter of IGBT. Electrical current is collected and sampled by Hall sensor, and the current feed-back is provided by automatic control systems that provide self-corrective action and improve performances. Protective circuit and alarming apparatus is designed to solve the problems respectively, such as over voltage, over current, over heat, and lower voltage, which are possibly happened in a welding process.
