A New Admixture for Producing High Performance Grout Used in Post-tensioned Prestressed Concrete Structures

In order to ensure the durability and mechanical properties of the structures, a high performance grout which has the properties of non-bleeding, high fluidity or low viscosity, high pumpability, low volume change, low permeability and high strength is required especially when a narrow space between the sheath and the tendon is injected. In this paper, firstly, the development of a new type of admixture to produce the high performance grout and the properties of the high performance grout admixed with the admixture are introduced. And then the results of injecting test of the high performance grout on full scale cables are shown and it is evident that the cables are filled by the high performance grout easily and completely.
