THE SYNTHESIS AND STRUCTURES OF SCHIFF'S BASES OF CELLULOSE AND CARBOXYMETHYL CELLULOSE

In this paper, we synthesized some Schiff's bases of cellulose derivatives, o-pheylene diimido cellulose (PDIMC), p-sulfophenyl imodo cellulose (SPIMC), O-pheylene diimido carboxymethyl cellulose (PDIMCMC) and p-sulfophenly imodo carboxymethyl cellulose (SPIMCMC), by the condensation of dialdehyde cellulose or dialdehyde carboxymethyl cellulose with o-phenylene diamine or p-aminobenzen sulfonic. Their structures were characterized by Fourier Transform Interred spectra (FTIR) and Wide-Angle X-ray Diffraction (WAXD). As well as, the efforts of their structures on the condensation reaction were discussed.
