THE RETENTIVITY OF METAL IONS IN UNBLEACHED KP-AQ PULP OF MASSON PINEWOOD

摘要

The profile of metal ions in Masson pinewood is studied by means of SEM-EDAX and atomic absorption spectrometer. So are the content and retentivity of metal ions in unbleached KP-AQ pulp of pinewood. The results show that there are complex metal ions in pinewood and in the unbleached pulp. The metal ion species in unbleached pulp come mainly from the wood, and they are affected by the water used, the added chemicals and metallic apparatus. Each metal ion species, due to its special properties, e.g. ionic charge number, ionic radius and the electronic cofiguration, are different in retaining states and retentivity ratio in unbleached pulp. The experimental results will be used as instructions for the pretreatments for unbleached pulp to optimizing metal ion profiles.
