摘要

Plastic deformation, as one type of micro-damage caused by cxternal forces, for example earthquake, is necessary to be evaluated by an efficient non-destructive evaluation technique to guarantee the structural safety. In this paper, the feasibility to evaluate the plastic deformation in an austenitic stainless steel by using the pulsed eddy current testing method has been studied through experiments and simulations. Moreover, the electromagnetic property variations due to plastic deformation have also been investigated through inverse analyses.
