This article concentrates on the primary composition of heat transfer resistance of soil when a heat pump extracts heat from soil and temperature fluctuation range of soil at different depth. It also advances the reasonable laying distance of coils buried in soil for the area of middle and lower reaches of Yangtse River, PRC, according to the theory of one-dimension unsteady heat conduction.
