摘要

The objective of this paper is to introduce numerical methods developed on the basis of observations for ground vibrations by road traffic. This paper presents two subjects. The first one is a proposal for simulation method of the ground vibration at roadside caused by a moving vehicle. The results of field measurements are presented to examine the validity of this numerical method. The other subject deals with two problems on the vibration of ground surface around a building subjected to traffic excitations. First, the effect of the existence of a building on the ground vibration attenuation with distance is examined when a response line is established near the building. Next, the ground vibrations at the front and the rear of a building are compared when traffic-induced vibrations are transmitted through the building. The numerical results give a similar phenomenon with the measured ones.
