摘要

This paper studies the dynamic responses of cable-stayed bridges subjected to running trains and earthquakes. The dynamic model of coupled train-bridge system is established, with earthquake waves as the seismic excitations. The case study is performed to a rail-cum-road cable-stayed bridge that will cross the Yangtze River in China. By inputting the seismic waves to the train-bridge system, the whole histories of the train running through the bridge are simulated and the dynamic responses of the bridge and the vehicles are calculated. The results show that seismic excitations have significant effects on the dynamic behaviors of the bridge and the running safety of the train vehicles on the bridge.
