This paper provides an overview of the main types of data processing center cooling systems and methods for assessing reliability indicators. The methodology for estimating reliability characteristics of the cooling system components is created. The proposed methodology differs from common methods by including reliability calculation of cooling system mechanical parts which increases the accuracy of reliability indicators prediction. The standard failure rate calculation models are analyzed and complemented with the correction coefficients, that were absent earlier in them. The resulting methodology is applicable at various stages of data center design, as well as in conditions where there is only a minimum amount of data about the object being created.
