Two Dimensions CFAR Detection among Nonhomogeneous Noise Background in HF Surface Wave Radar

Because the disturbances in High frequency surface wave radar are time-varying, the paperrnindicates that the background of HF ground wave radar is nonhomogeneous, after analyzing the sources ofrnlots of disturbances in HF ground wave radar. The nonhomogeneous background becomes homogeneousrnbackground through whitening processing with the time-varying filter, then the paper proposes the tworndimensions which are range and Doppler frequency respectively CFAR (Constant False Alarm Rate) basedrnon one dimensions CFAR. Lastly the paper mentions the three methods which are listed as follows, the firstrnis two dimensions CFAR processing after whitening with time-varying filter, the second is two dimensionsrnCFAR processing after whitening with fixed filter, the third is one dimension CFAR without whiteningrnprocessing. By comparing the results of detection with the three methods above, we consider that the methodrnof two dimensions CFAR processing after whitening with time-varying filter is feasible and promising.
