This paper presents experimental results for detection of a moving helicopterunder a passive, bistatic measurement configuration with non-cooperative, I.e. a prioriunknown, target illumination. The benefits of a high speed sampling wideband Digital ESMReceiverare exploited to analyze the parameters of the intercepted data, giving details of theilluminating signal that are required for detection and Doppler processing of the movingtarget. Conventional Doppler processing is extended to combined Time-Doppler-analysis ofthe data. Time delays and Doppler shifts of the echoes can be estimated with the presentedsignal processing even with non-constant pulse repetition interval of the illumination.
