摘要

The Light Drop-weight Tester is an alternative in situ measuring device to control the load bearing capacity of subgrade layers of engineering fills and backfills. Laboratory tests have been started with a typical Hungarian soil (loess) to determine the relation of the dynamic subgrade modulus to the degree of compaction and different layer thicknesses. Results obtained by laboratory tests are presented. The compacted soil in a rectangular steel box was measured by a Light Drop-weight Tester type HMP LFG-SD.
