Laser-DiodeBased Soldering System with Vision Capabilities

摘要

Recent advances in laser diode array and personal computer technology make it possible to assemble a laser soldering system with more functionality, and at lower costs than would have been possible only a few years ago. Furthermore, advances in both of these key technologies can be expected to continue in the near future. While laser soldering has inherent limitations, a system which intelligently combines these new technologies in an economical manner should greatly increase the attractiveness and market penetration of laser soldering in selected applications.
