Simulation tools, as well as the new management schema Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD) have been applied to an increasing range of ongoing acquisition programs and have significantly reduced development time and life cycle costs and improved system quality. SOme improvements have reducd the overall development time by half and some individual activities by 3000
