DESIGN SLIQ IN DATA MINING AND APPLICATION IN ELECTRICITY MARKET

Classification is an important problem in the emerging field of data mining. SLIQ is a decision tree classifier designed to classify large training data, In this paper, The algorithm SLIQ which use Gini index to evaluate the splitting indices of the alternative splits for an attribute and how to improve efficiency is also discussed . A feasible method based on SLIQ is applied to the generation unit's bidding decision system of electricity market. The knowledge as the ability of unit bidding is gained by data mining, This knowledge is very useful to supporting the bidder to make decisions.
