THE APPLICATION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNIQUES IN INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM

摘要

Artificial intelligence (AI) techniques have played an important role in both misuse detection and anomaly detection. Some principal artificial intelligence techniques applied in present intrusion detection system are summarized. They are expert system, artificial neural network, data mining, artificial immune system, autonomous agent and data fusion. We believe intrusion detection closely integrated with AI can greatly improve the performance of present IDSs and incentive produce of new artificial intelligence algorithms and their application in intrusion detection.
