System Demonstration Program at Ceramic Fuel Cells Ltd in Australia

Ceramic Fuel Cells Ltd (CFCL) aims to bring to market in early 2003 distributed generation products based on its planar SOFC technology initially for the market segment (50-300) kW. CFCL has developed cell and stack technology, and for the past 3 years developed total systems solutions. Over the past 2 years CFCL has been developing, and is now completing the construction of, a 25 kW test-bed system for conversion of natural gas to AC electricity. This paper discusses the features of this system and the underlying technology as well as CFCL's future plans for product development and systems demonstration.
