One distinguished feature of any Ad-Hoc network is that the mobile user does not need an static access point in order to support the rapidly deployable, wireless, multimedia network requirements. Quality of Service (QoS) routing is the key to multimedia support. In this paper, we present a simulation-based study of two on-demand routing protocols (AODV and DSR) in Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET); we also examine the effect of node mobility on the QoS for real time application. We built a simulator in C++, which uses a model environment like Global Mobile system Simulator (GloMoSim). The simulation results have shown that quick management of route maintenance is an important factor that affects all the metrics. Simulations of a variable node speed show that increasing the mobility speed will lead to decreasing in the end-to-end throughput and increasing in the end-to-end delay for both protocols hence reducing the quality of service for real time applications. In order to achieve a desired QoS we need to maintain the node stationary or moving with a low speed, to avoid significant changes in topology.
