LEACH protocol for assigning cluster-heads using a deterministic and stochastic approach for Wireless Sensor Networks

摘要

The design of an energy efficient protocol is a fundamental problem for wireless sensor networks. A critical problem facing the researchers today is how to reduce energy consumption and increase battery life in nodes in wireless sensor network. This paper describes the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol [1] and its modified schemes. Our proposed model is further simulated using Java programming language to demonstrate the working of the system as a whole.
