摘要

To solve the problem of insufficient working space of abrasive finishing and polishing device with large free-form surfaces, a flexible finishing and polishing system with 5-DOF is designed, which combine the 3-TTT parallel mechanism and the principal axis rotating around two axes. Modeling is based on characters. Abrasive finishing and polishing machine tool's concept design is done with Pro/E, The system is described and dynamics simulation with Lagrange method and d'alembert's principle. The simulation result provides grounds for numerical values of Virtual Axis Hybrid Polishing Machine Tool's real-time control and prototype machine design and new reason of applying parallel connection structure in polishing process.
