摘要

In the Tarim River Basin, the vegetation cover is declining due to desertification.This paper is on the research on a Sub-pixel Structure Pattern of the vegetation in the Tarim River Basin in the MODIS Images with the pixel scale. It uses the Forward Decomposition Method of mixed pixels to make certain whether the sub-pixel Structure Pattern has a distributing law in this Basin. Based on the 1: 100 000 relief map of 1960s, we used the IDL Language to simulate the data under the sub-pixel Structure Pattern method in the MODIS Images of 1 km scale. The result showed that the Basin has a certain distributing law. This method is feasible for the research and could make a quantitative analysis for the landscape feature in MultiScales.
