Problems and Some Solutions Related to Excessive Noise in Wood Machining Environments

Exposure to excessive sound levels, in any environment, has long been recognized as one source of long term hearing problems among exposed individuals. This paper will deal with some of the sources of sound exposure in wood machining environments, and some methods to mitigate this exposure, with the goal of reducing long term risks to the individual.
