Advanced Sinterbrazed P/M Subassemblies in Torque Transfer Systems

摘要

Sinterbrazing is the process of simultaneously sintering and joining two powder metal parts. The use of this technology allows the advantages of the P/M process to manufacture parts that may be used in parts of greater complexity. This paper describes the techniques of sinterbrazing and the development of a powder metal sinterbrazed component that replaced its wrought steel counterpart at considerable cost savings.
