PROPERTIES OF WARM COMPACTED CHAIN SPROCKETS

摘要

Warm compaction techniques can significantly improve the mechanical properties of PM steel chain sprockets. This process has been used to produce several high performance camshaft drive systems. Various alloys, heat treat processes and shapes will be reviewed highlighting the benefits and properties of the various designs. Additionally the processing steps involved in warm compaction will be reviewed.
