A 3-CHANNEL POF-WDM SYSTEM FOR TRANSMISSION OF VGA-SIGNALS

Wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) is one of the best methods for increasing capacity of data transmission systems. Polymer optical fiber (POF) is the best transmission medium for short range applications. In this work an attempt to combine WDM technology with polymer optical fiber for transmission of high resolution VGA-signals has been realized. An experimental setup was constructed. The received experimental results are discussed. Possible ways for improving the system performances are determined.
