Abstract: We made the experiment of sterilization by using neodymium yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) laser (wavelength 1.06 $mu@m) to penetrate vas deferens in 30 male goats. The results of the experiment show that among the 50 vas deferens, there were 29 occurrences of seminal cysts (58%), but not any occurrences of hematoma. Both low-power, long-time (3 - 6 w, 20 - 40 s) and high-power, short-time (8 - 20 w, 5 - 20 s) penetrations were effective to occlude the vas deferens. !4
