SLA Specification Using XML for Services Over IP Technologies

摘要

This paper proposes an SLA specification template as a hierarchical XML document with the following fields: Customer and service provider information, connection type and site specifications. Site specifications include site information, service schedule, QoS domains and QoS mapping functions. QoS domains specify the flows with their QoS parameters, and the domain policy. SLA negotiation, mapping, provisioning, monitoring and management are implemented by processing this document. QoS Parameters for different IP technologies are distinguished. A service management architecture is proposed to effectively process the SLA document at various stages of service management and for different IP technologies.
