The coherence property of signal wave is investigated in four-wave-mixing with incoherent pump light. Our analysis shows the signal wave can be coherently amplified by an incoherent pump with only phase fluctuation provided the idler wave and pump wave have a same group velocity. While the pump has both amplitude and phase fluctuations, besides the same group velocity of pump and idler waves, the walk-off between idler/pump wave and signal wave is also required for coherent amplification of signal wave.
