An optimal design of steel structures represents the purposeful choice of these system parameters, which ensures the best objective function value. The optimization problem is formulated as the nonlinear programming task. If objective function and constraints of mathematical model are continuously differentiable and defined in smooth domain of all admissible design parameters, this problem is solved with gradient method successfully (Haug & Arora 1983). In this context structural topology, support conditions, node connections of bars and pattern load are prescribed and constants. Today theory of optimum structural design is developed in the tideway of solution the structural topology optimization problem with variable design parameters. In the performance of this tasks methods that implement goal seeking exhaustive of finite set of design decision alternatives have been preferred. One of these methods is genetic algorithm (GA) that reflects in a simplified way some of the processes of natural evolution (Holland 1975, Goldberg 1989).
