摘要

Nanometer TiO_2 particles with pure rutile phase were prepared by hydrolysis of TiCl_4 aqueous solution in the presence of acid HCl in an agitated reactor at 80℃ within 3 h with subsequent ethanol rinsing for dehydration and sintering for crystalline phase transformation. XRD patterns show that anatase TiO_2 may be completely transformed into pure rutile phase at a relative low temperature of 500℃, which is much lower than the conventionally reported transition temperature during calcination. The TiO_2 particles obtained in this study were shaped in ellipse with the primary size of 20~35nm from TEM and XRD analysis, BET surface area was 170 m~2g~(-1) for TiO_2 powders without sintering and 110 m~2g~(-1) calcinated at 500℃ for 2 h.
