In this study the effect of low intensify laser irradiation was investigated by using experimentaly induced contact hypersensitivity reaction (CHS) to DCNB rats (Dark August). It was applied law level laser irradiation with following parameters: wavelength 832nm, 660 and 904nm, frequency ranged at 100, 1000 and 4000Hz , at dose 0,1 and 1J per point; at whole dose per procedure ranged at 1 and 4J. By using ear swelling assay it was demonstrated that laser irradiation with following parametars wavelength 904 nm and freqeuncies 4000Hz before epicutaneus hapten application, both in the induction and elicitation phase of CHS reaction, abrogated this reaction 50% and 40% respectively. The reduction of ear swelling was more pronounced if laser iradtaion had been applied to skin before hapten application in comparison to laser iradiation group application after 24 hour following DNCB. Reduced inflammatory cell infiltrate following laser irradiation at the onset of the elicitation phase was revealed by histological examination what coincided well with reduced bioactivity of proinflamatory cytokine THF in medium conditioned by short term (24hour) cultured explants of laser exposed skin.
