A Web-Based Distance Learning Management System

摘要

Distance education is becoming a popular alternative to traditional classroom instruction. It can support engaged learning and benefit students wherever they are located. The web technologies open up new opportunities for students to benefit from distance education. World Wide Web has provided an effective medium to distribute course materials over the Internet. In this paper, a courseware making tool and a distance learning management svstem are described. By using the course-making tool, teacher can make web-based multimedia courseware flexibly. Students learn the courseware through the learning management svstem. Moreover, the learning management svstem provides several tools, such as information searching tool, individual noting tool and interactive tool. This let students study efficiently.
