6000kW emergency diesel-electric generator set is driven by two 12PA6V diesel engines through elastic couplings, as these two engines may cause differetn phase difference, uneven load, single-engine cutout and partial cylinder misfire, torsional performance of the overall shafting is complex and peculiar. The detailed analysis of torsional performance has been made to provide necessary rationales to ensure safety of the set in operation.
