Investigation of Al Computer Music Composition Techniques

摘要

Computer composition of music through artificial intelligence techniques is an inspiring issue today. This project aims to investigate some of key generative techniques, ranging from stochastic process, musical grammar, musical rule-based systems, artificial neural networks to genetic algorithms. Also, we briefly discuss some problems in this domain. The conclusion is that the development of music composition system should involve a combination of the existing technologies such as the Hybrid System development. In order to make the system become more practical and effective, there should be some flexible human intervenient ways for different level music composition in the system.
