THE DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF LIFE CYCLE COSTING SYSTEM IN CONSTRUCTION

摘要

Life Cycle Costing(LCC) has become increasingly important in construction over the last few years in China. However, despite its importance, it has found limited application so far. Two of the main barriers in its application are the shortage of LCC data and the complexity of the technique itself. This paper presents a process of LCC system design and implementation, which aims to overcome those barriers by providing a framework for computing life cycle cost and aiding decisionmaking. The paper consists as follows:the life cycle costing techniques; barriers in the application of Life Cycle Costing; the life cycle cost model; the system structure of Life cycle costing system; the flow chart of Life cycle costing system;database design of life cycle costing system; conclusion.
