VideoNav~TM: a system for visualizing GPS-correlated panoramic video

Despite increasing budget constraints and decreasing human resource support, government agencies are still required to maintain the same level of responsiveness in the event of a natural disaster, medical crisis, or military conflict. Fortunatley, price/performance advances in processing, visualization, and data collection and storage have enabled these agencies to enhance their reach and readiness with fewer people and at lowe cost. All of these technologies are used to develop VideoNav~TM - a systemto help disaster relief, medical rescue, and military personnel familiarize themselves with areas around the world in the event of an emergency. VideoNav fuses panoramic video with global positioning system (GPS) data for presnetation on a consumer-grade PC or laptop.
