The implication of PFI on health care premises engineering design, durability, and maintenance

This paper details some of the findings of a research project (1) into the delivery of sustainable health care premises under Private Finance Initiative (PFI) - type arrangements. It examines the area of Primary Health Care and the types of larger surgeries and community facilities that are proposed and being developed across the UK.
