By uniting the two important developing tools, Family Table and Pro/Toolkit, utilizing the powerful graphical interface functions of MFC (Microsoft Function Class), this article discusses the procedure of developing three-dimensional general part library based on Pro/ENGINEER. Some associated essential technologies are analyzed. Family Table manages parameters of part, Pro/Toolkit operates the family table and drives part model, MFC makes the user's interface friendly, convenient and easily completed. With the mode of DLL (Dynamic Link Library), the user's interface of the application program is realized by using the MFC of VC++6.0. In this paper, the feature object of a gear is given as an example to present the main developing methods. The running result of the customized developed application program is given in the late part of the article. The paper also introduces some related technologies in the process of debugging the interface program under the VC++6.0 environment. And some codes of the program are provided to describe this kind of customized development of general part library.
