THE PROGRAMME AND TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT OF FLUE GAS DESULPHURIZATION AT THERMAL POWER PLANTS IN CHINA

Since the promulgation of atmospheric pollution prevention law amendment the year 1995, China has heralded the implementing stage of application and development of flue gas desulphurization technology to alleviate gradually the harmfulness of acid rain, after experiencing a long process of experimental research and brewing. During the ninth five-years plan period, there will be a batch of thermal power plants constructed with industrial desulphurization equipments of different technology. This will push on vigorously the process of violent development of applicable desulphurization technology and localized design and manufacture and will give a profound and lasting impact to popularizing the application in the 21st century. The flue gas desulphurization technology will have a vast market in China and have to be one of the important arenas of international high technique.
